Tornado’s

Last night was by far the scariest storm since we have moved here to Arkansas. I went to bed at about 11pm. Meanwhile, Cam was out working on the car. At about 11:30 I woke up and looked outside.  Maybe it seemed worse because it was night time but there was lightning nonstop and the thunder sounded like a train.  Anyways, I noticed silly Cam is still in the garage with the door open working finishing up on the car? I wish I could be as calm as he was.  I told him to get inside now! Haha. I can laugh now, but then it was very scary. At this point the power had gone out so I couldn’t check the weather for warnings. So we said a prayer for safety and went to bed. Soon after, it calmed down quite a bit and we were able to sleep.  The next morning we look outside and this is our driveway:

So Cameron drives to work and down the road he sees a house in our neighborhood that had 3 trees fall on the back of it. I went for a walk with Cruz because I had to see it for myself, and I took this picture. The picture doesn’t do it justice at all –I was trying to be inconspicuous so this isn’t the worse of it. But you can see the damage.

So today I was looking and saw this news thing on arkansasmatters.com.

There are reports of damage to the Lowe’s store near Interstate 540 and Peach Orchard Road, as well as, reports of downed trees across streets and on houses and cars.

The National Weather Service in Tulsa must come out and survey the damage before confirming the tornado.

We will be following this story throughout the day and will bring you more information as it becomes available.

As the crow flies we are about a half mile from Lowe’s where the possible tornado hit. Pretty crazy.
